“The situation today points to an ever-increasing urgency for a doctrinal formation of the lay faithful, not simply in a better understanding which is natural to faith’s dynamism but also in enabling them to ‘give a reason for their hoping’ . . . . Formation is not the privilege of a few, but a right and duty of all.” (John Paul II, Christifideles Laici, 60, 63)
The John Paul II Institute offers professionals in every field and all adults wishing to deepen their knowledge of Catholic theology the opportunity to:
- develop an understanding of the person, marriage, and family that is integral to a Christian vision of reality
- assist in generating a culture whose members “see life in its deeper meaning, its beauty and its invitation to freedom and responsibility.” (Evangelium vitae, 83)
- study the personal-familial love that is basic to the world as created by God
Those who are interested in the work of the Institute but unable to enroll in a traditional graduate program may take advantage of our non-degree study options.
