Continuing Education Course: Called to Love
January 19, 2022 at 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
The Spring 2022 course in the Institute’s ongoing Continuing Education Series will be “Called to Love.” It will be held on Wednesday evenings from January 19 to April 27, 2022.
This course studies John Paul II’s Man and Woman He Created Them: A Theology of the Body—his “Wednesday catecheses”—through a reading of the text and a discussion of his scriptural, theological, and philosophical methodology. It shows how the dual unity of man and woman and their interpersonal communion, even in the body, image divine trinitarian life. In order to provide context and deeper insight into the Wednesday catecheses, the course will draw also on other works by John Paul II, such as Love and Responsibility, Redemptor Hominis, and Familiaris Consortio.
Class will be taught in person and offered online simultaneously.
The class fee is $150. To register, please complete the online registration form. Payment can be submitted via check, cash, or credit card.
This course can be taken toward renewal requirements for VCEA licensure. Numerous high schools in the Archdiocese of Washington accept the course for CEU credits.
