Dr. Michael Hanby, associate professor of religion and philosophy of science, will be one of the featured speakers at the 2023 Touchstone Conference on “The Crisis of Authority” on Oct. 12-14 in Deerfield, IL.

The Touchstone conference brings together Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox Christians, a tradition-bound gathering of what C. S. Lewis called “Mere Christianity” to address the question: The authority of God once formed the conscience of men; it bound our faith, science, law, and our culture. Where and how have we cast the bands asunder, and what comes next?

Among the conference’s other featured speakers are several past guest lecturers at the Institute, including Douglas Farrow, Ken Myers, and R.V. Young, as well as Rod Dreher, R.R. Reno, and others.

Student scholarships are available to help offset the cost of attendance.
