Coordinator of Youth Ministry, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (Ellicott City, MD)

The Coordinator of Middle School Faith Formation for OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP CATHOLIC CHURCH will be responsible for supporting the Director of Faith Formation by accompanying middle school youth (Gr. 6-8) in their faith journey, planning fall and spring faith formation sessions with service opportunities, communicating retreat and summer camp information, and building relationships with families.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist the Director in recruiting, forming, and supporting catechists and volunteers.
  • Maintain open channels of written and verbal communication with the parish staff and parish families to promote and facilitate ministry and formation programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with the Archdiocesan policies on the protection of minors.
  • Maintain accurate lists of volunteers in the faith formation program, ensuring full compliance with Virtus.
  • Choose curriculum and write lesson plans for 7 fall and 7 Spring Faith Formation sessions, including two Family Nights and a Service Night for Middle School youth.
